Your Itinerary
Finding spare time to go on a short-weekend getaway is very difficult nowadays, especially if you are a dedicated professional. But worry not, Britz have prepared an itinerary for you and your busy buddies living in Sydney or New South Wales: Short Weekend Getaway NSW.
The concept is to avoid taking any days off from work, but still get the full benefits of a short break, using a campervan around New South Wales.
Day 1 – Friday
Lunch time at work: Head out to Mascot area to pick up your vehicle at our campervan hire Sydney office.
6 PM – work finishes: Grab dinner early, buy your snacks and drink supplies at a nearby supermarket.
Drive to Moss Vale, and spend the night at Moss Vale Village Park. Get a good night sleep for it’s a long and fun-packed day tomorrow!

Day 2 – Saturday
If you prefer to prepare your own food, use the campervan’s own cooking facilities or the ones at the campsite to prepare your breakfast of champions. Or else, just head to the town centre and find a café for your breakfast – it’s only a short walk.
From there, drive to Kangaroo Valley, but first make a stop at Fitzroy Falls to enjoy its nature and stretch those legs with a bit of a walk round to different lookouts. We’d recommend making your way to at least the Jersey lookout.

Head on to Kangaroo Valley. Don’t be surprised, you probably won’t see any kangaroos! Kangaroo Valley is a beautiful small town with cute cafés, shops, and restaurants. It is only 2 hours away from both Sydney and Canberra. It is also a popular spot for weddings as well as antique hunters. If you have the time, try to do the Kangaroo Valley Historic Walk.

Drive to Ulladulla and enjoy this peaceful and quiet town. Have lunch by the harbour and calm your mind. Fish and Chips are the perfect accompaniment to the view!

Continue your journey to Batemans Bay, but make a short pit stop at Fern Gully Winery for a wine tasting. Be sure to try their award winning rose wine, which you can’t get elsewhere. Maybe buy your designated driver a beer to make up for missing out on the tasting and for all the driving they’ve done today.

After a nice spot wine and port tasting, drive towards Batemans Bay and spend the night at Easts Holiday Parks. This is a great holiday park, located by the water and it even has a swimming pool. It is also within walking distance from the town centre where the restaurants and bars are.
There are plenty of things to do in Batemans Bay if you are on a more relaxed schedule. You can swim and play on a beach, go diving, surf and catch some waves, walk through rainforests, fish, golf and shop.
Day 3 – Sunday
Grills are available at the holiday park, overseeing the water and town centre across the bridge. If the weather behaves, why don’t you enjoy the breakfast outdoors in the fresh air and enjoy the view.

After your breakfast, next stop is Kiama, where you can see the famous blow hole. If you park near the blow hole you’ll get to see both the blow hole and town’s lighthouse as they’re right next to each other! Also worth going for an explore and finding the rock pool and the harbour. It is such a picturesque town with many restaurants, bars and cafes.

After a nice and calming weekend out of the city, drive back to Sydney to return your vehicles. We hope you do enjoy our recommendations for your short weekend getaway in New South Wales.
PS: Don’t forget to check the Sydney office opening times before your travel.
