A current and full motorcycle driver’s licence is required and must be produced upon vehicle collection. Should a foreign licence be in a language other then English it must be accompanied by a current international driving permit issued in the same country as the driver’s licence was issued. An accredited English translation will be accepted in lieu of an international driving permit.
Passport identification is also required.
The minimum age is 25 for Britz Bikes.
There is a minimum rental period of 3 days. Rental days are calculated on a 24-hour basis.
All Britz Bikes carry one rider and one passenger.
No. Motorcycles are to be collected and returned to the one location (Peel Street) in Melbourne. Though where you go in between is up to you!
No you don't.
- Insurance for personal injury is in most cases covered by Registration: Third Party Cover.
- Insurance excess is twice the security deposit (see table below):

- The balance of the excess is payable if the motorcycle is damaged and/or involved in the unlikely event of an accident.
- Garner’s Motorcycles must be notified as soon as possible and an accident report filled out.
- Should the renter require another motorcycle, an additional security deposit will be required.
- Personal belongings are not insured and Garner’s recommend travel insurance be arranged before leaving home.
- Water damage is not covered - standard excess applies.
- The security deposit will be debited to the hirer’s credit card upon collection of the motorcycle at Garner’s.
- Accepted credit cards are Visa and MasterCard. A non-refundable 1% credit card surcharge will apply.
- All insurance cover is void if the rental agreement is breached and the renter becomes fully liable.
If you cancel your Britz Bike, the following fees will apply:

| If cancelled within 6 days of pick-up | - 100% of Rental |
| If the Bike is returned early for any reason | - No refund available for the unused days |
For bookings with Britz, the following credit card surcharges apply:
The credit card holder will be jointly and severally liable as a customer. Accepted credit cards are Visa Card, MasterCard and American Express. A non-refundable 1.75% administration fee will apply to all Visa and MasterCard transactions. A non-refundable 4.5% administration fee will apply to American Express cards.
For payments and security deposits at pick-up, the following credit card surcharges apply:
The security deposit will be debited to the hirer’s credit card upon collection of the motorcycle at Garner’s. Accepted credit cards are Visa and MasterCard. A non-refundable 1% credit card surcharge will apply to payments and security bonds.
The BMW Bikes can be ridden on sealed roads and well-maintained unsealed roads. Bush riding is not permitted. The Harley-Davidson can only be ridden on sealed bitumen roads.
Britz reserves the right at its sole discretion to restrict vehicle movements in certain areas due to adverse road or weather conditions, and the distance to nominated destinations in relation to the length of the hire period.
