Leg One Melbourne to Apollo Bay

After exploring Bells Beach, continue to Apollo Bay and stop off for a walk to s Falls. Another must see stop along the way, the Marengo Marine Sanctuary is home to a fur-seal colony and you are able to take kayaks out to visit the animals as they play in the waters.
Leg two Apollo Bay to Princetown
Make an early start to get to the Cape Otway Lighthouse in time to watch the magnificent sunrise - the light has been in operation since 1848 and is the oldest working light station in the country.
After a hearty breakfast, you can spend the day exploring the 12 Apostles and beaches along the way. Don't forget to add a visit to Loch Ard Gorge to your itinerary as well. This stunning formation is characterised by the staggering cliff faces and narrow entrance out to the ocean. Leg threePrincetown to Halls Gap
Set up camp at Halls Gap Caravan Park before taking a stroll through Australia’s beautiful bush-land in the Grampians National Park. Head towards Reed Lookout and enjoy exceptional views of the Victoria Range and valley, as well as the Mount Difficult range. Don’t forget your camera for this beauty spot!

On the way back to Melbourne, Ballarat is a great place to stop and explore, a Victorian era boomtown steeped in Australia's European gold-rush history with plenty to see and do. Enjoy the other significant cultural and heritage legacies such as the Ballarat Botanical Gardens and the Museum of Australian Democracy. Upon arriving back in Melbourne, enjoy the cultural capital of Australia – soak up the atmosphere at one of the many bars and restaurants in the area and don’t forget to put a few hours in having some retail therapy!
